I know that you asked that only Asians answer your question, but it is a bit alarming. As an African American, we have been stigmatized by our complexion for centuries. We either feel that we aren’t fair enough or aren’t dark enough.
But what you and all the rest of us should learn to do is love yourself the way GOD made you. If you have a few blemishes that you want to correct then that is one thing. But once you start messing with bleaching creams you can end up looking like Michael Jackson. And I can’t believe that is your goal.
Dove says, “love the skin you’re in!”
Why would you wanna go and “whiten” your skin! Are you ashamed of your skin color! If your half and half, then your skin tone sounds like it might just be sexy.

Dahlin! No fairness product works! Atleast not for a long time! And some times it causes more harm than good! From my experience I think a good sunscreen is good way to retain your own colour..And also drink lots of water [More than 8 glasses per day] And ya lots of veggies and salads [the rawer the better!] Do away with oil plz..I know this is all wat grown ups tell us all the time and we dont listen..But I tried it [listened to my grandma!!] And now my skin positively glows!! You can try steam bath it unclogs pores..Wash your face immediately after you come from outside and moisturise with skin suitable produts. Ofcourse for this remedy to work you have to have patience..But trust me your skin glows so much that you dont need to be fair!! My boyfriend will vouch for that!! If you want some home remedies then you can e-mail me.. I will ask my grandma… She will give you pure Indian herbal thingies..
Avoid sun from 12pm – 4pm..If you have to go out during that time apply sunscreen with atleast spf 25 and wear a hat to cover your face.

Hope that helps.
One simple remedy is to use vinegar or lemon juice to wash away dark spots and blemishes. Don’t go out in the sun after using it.That would be hazardous as it makes u burn.
A commercial product is pond’s skin whitening cream, but as to how fast before seeing results, I don’t know yet.
In China they use pearl powder or crushed pearls and it’s supposed to whiten, nourish and soften the skin. I didn’t use it, but my friends swear by it.
Oil of Olay is terrific brand and is effective as well. Hope that at least one of these can be found locally for you. Have a nice day.
Sorry, I am not Asian, but I love Asian skin! It is so beautiful!!! If you want to lighten it, that is your choice, but I just wanted to say Asian (and Indian) skin is gorgeous! Also, messing with the color/tone of your skin is asking for medical problems down the road. Whatever you do, good luck!
