I have used face whitening cream that hydorquinone is the active ingredeint in it. In the last few years I have developed dark area's on my face. I used the cream only on those area's and it did help them fade, but you have to be patient and use it everyday for it takes a while to notice a difference. I ordered mine online, it is- "ambi" skin discoloration fade cream. Hydroquinone 2.0%, Padimate O 2.0% Hope this is helpful, Good Luck

Hydroquinone is an approved agent by the FDA. It's a melanin supressant; its not a bleaching agent.
Yes, It's OK to apply in the hyperpigmented areas.
Other choices for reducing pigmentation are kojic acid, mulberry, licorice root, bearberry, and azaleic acid.
As an esthetician, I should tell you how important is to wear sunscreen daily.
I know a very good product that maybe you want to try:
Re-Vitae skin lightning creme ( without hydroquinone)

I hope this information helps !
