Tomato juice and potato juice are two home remedies I can recommended. Dab fresh juice onto the skin, leave it on for twenty minutes and wash if off.
I can’t recommend any over the counter creams as they all contain chemicals or preservatives of some sort. If the skin discoloration is on your face or body and is due to sun exposure, I recommend using a high SPF sunscreen whenever you leave the house and stay out of the sun between 10am and 3pm.
Soy based creams are being used for skin lightening.
