How Do I Lighten My Skin (read Details)?

My skin gets dark easily but the school doesn’t allow suntan. Even our uniform is short-sleeved. The problem is that my skin tone is now uneven that my mom said I looked like a zebra. What should I do? Does skin whitening products work?

    1.Avoid exposing your skin to direct sunlight.
    2.Use any good sunblock while going out.
    3.Drink plenty of mineral water regularly.
    4.Watch your diet. Include healthy fruits and vegetables.
    5.Wash your face/body to keep it clean.
    6.Use some good skin whitening cream. Lemon juice with a bit of yogurt once a day is an excellent mild bleach.

    *Cut a lemon into 2 halves. Rub it gently on your face and neck. Wash it after 10-20 minutes. Doing it regularly will cleanse your skin.
    *Using masks made from flour, or finely ground grams [pulses], can make your skin shine. Just add some milk, apply on skin and wash after 15 minutes.
    *Milk is a natural skin whitener. Apply milk on your face/body. Wash it after some time

    *Skin-whitening creams can damage the skin if left on for too long, so use discretion.
    *While using any cosmetic product, if you feel irritation in skin, stop using it. Always prefer good skin products.

    In my book, I prefer NOT using products to lighten the skin. I do prefer home remedies so my skin should glow and lighten up naturally.
    Here are some simple home remedies that you can do to lighten the skin tone and get a lighter complexion. However, they must be done regularly and best results are obtained if they are inculcated as a part of daily routine.
    Mix 1 tsp of milk powder, 1 tsp of honey, 1 tsp of lemon juice, and ½ tsp of almond oil. Apply on face/body and wash off after 10-15 minutes. This pack helps bring shine to the skin and also removes tan.
    Mix oatmeal with curd and tomato juice and apply on the face/body. Keep it on for 20 minutes and then wash it off with cold water. It helps remove the tan and lightens the skin.
    Place sliced raw potato on the face/body. It helps reduce blemishes and other marks.
    Applying turmeric powder along with lime juice removes the tan. Lime juice is a natural bleach.
    Dried orange peels mixed with curd also help reduce blemishes and scars. Wash off this mixture with cold water after 15 minutes.
    Soak 4 almonds overnight. Grind into a fine paste using milk. Apply on face and neck and leave it overnight. Wash with cold water in the morning. Do this daily for 15 days, followed by twice a week.
    A tbsp of gram flour mixed with 2 tsp of raw milk and 2-3 drops of lime juice works well for lightening dark skin. Apply this mixture and leave it for 15 minutes before washing off. Repeat for 4 weeks and follow up with once a week.
    Apply a paste of fresh ground mint leaves and leave it for about 20 minutes. Wash with cold water, continue for 15 days.
    Apply a mixture of grated tomato with 2-3 drops of lime juice on the face/body. Leave it for 20 minutes before washing off. Do this twice a day for 15-20 days for best results.
    Apply milk or lime juice on your face/body (like if your putting lotion) leave for up to 10 mins and wash it off.

    For what I heard, skin-whitening products doesn’t work. It’s best to stick in a natural way by doing home remedies.

    Good luck with that one. I didn’t even know there was a skin lightener out there. Probably because I’m so light, I don’t want to go lighter. Wow and your school doesn’t allow tans? How bizaar.

    Get the papaya soap from a filipino store. It works if you use it daily. But it makes your skin dry, so remember to use lots of lotion. It does work, but you really do have to use it all often
    Otherwise try and even it out by getting the rest of you tan.

    whitening products are a no no !
    they damage your skin and you get white patches when stop using them.
    to try to create a even skin colour try cold yogurt and leave it to dry and wash with cold water.
    mayonnaise is also good.

    First things first… What do you mean when you say that your school doesn’t allow suntan?
    Any-way.
    From what I have heard, no, skin-whitening products do not work, and it would be unwise for you to pursue them. Many skin-whitening products that may show up in the market are not FDA-approved, and are proven to result in major skin damage. What they do is desintegrate the upper layer of your skin, and thus result in burns, pink/white spots, etc.
    What you should do is wait until the summer time, wear a bikini/bathing suit, and go outside. This way, the only uneven areas on your skin will be where the sun doesn’t normally shine, and the tan uneven body tan will not be apparent. Throughout the year, your tan should even out as you receive less sunlight as you did in the summer.
    For now, wear a jacket to cover up your arms and such, if you are truly that embarassed by your tan. Also, since you tan so easily, be sure to wear sunscreen every day, to minimize your risk of skin cancer later in life.

    I am black so I do not know how u feel reli. But skin success is a cream known to lighten people’s skin. hope it helps. if however u choose to use it, use it in moderation because it would really bleach ur skin

    Your school doesn’t allow tanned skin? Where the hell do you live that they can control your skin color?
    As for lightening, I’ve never heard of anything short of a dermatologist being able to truly lighten skin. Try putting sun screen on the darker areas to help the lighter catch up.

    try the japanese green stuff. it sort of works. try staying inside a lot.
